FactMe ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application that shows daily facts, quizzes, and an IQ test. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect

Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. This may include:

• App events (e.g. fact viewed, quiz completed, favorites)
• App-instance ID
• Approximate location (derived from IP address)
• Device or other identifiers

This data helps us improve the app and is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy.

Report Submissions

When you report a fact (e.g. incorrect, typo, misleading), we store:

• Fact ID and topic
• Reason for the report
• Optional message you provide
• App version and language
• Timestamp

This data is stored in Firebase Firestore and used only to improve content quality.

Local Data

The app stores preferences (topics, theme, language, favorites, quiz progress) on your device. This data is not sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Data

• To improve the app and content
• To fix reported issues
• To understand usage patterns

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Google (Firebase). Report data is stored in our Firebase project and is not shared with third parties.

4. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase services use industry-standard security practices.

5. Children

FactMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
